A statesman lives the world stage

On January 20th of 2016 will be in history as the day that a statesman, with humility of his greatness, leaves the command stage of the Nation most powerful of the world: Barack Obama.

No. It’s not a statesman in the way of Winston Churchill whose courage free the world of the Nazi horrors. No even from Nixon, the little one, who reaped the glories of getting back the first human to step on the moon, fulfilling Kennedy’s dreams.

Obama was a simple statesman, sower of ideas and of ideals that ennoble the human species, a simple man that in the eight year he commanded the most powerful Nation of the world, rather than harvested fruits, planted seeds, which in the silence of the long mystery of germination, will grow and bear fruit for the next generations.

Because collect fruits is easy, but it’s not by planting trees that become forests, but by sowing seeds.

So, in a world of hate, of fundamentalisms, of terrorism and others death guns, he showed that the Peace is possible, that it’s possible to build friendship between people and practice between them the solidarity and cooperation.

He showed that instead of the barbarism of war, it’s possible the coexistence and the Peace:

que ao invés do fundamentalismo,é possível o pluralismo  de idéias,de culturas, de regimes, da tolerância,da diversidade ,de raças,de crenças, de ideais e de fé;

that instead of the fundamentalisms, it’s possible the pluralism of ideas, cultures, regimes, tolerance, diversity, races, beliefs, ideals and of Faith.

That respecting the differences, it’s possible at the height of power, live the simplicity of family, respect the woman, practice the own beliefs and fight for the own ideals, without imposing on anyone its own precepts, sometimes only prejudices.

Barack Obama, man of a strange name to the ears, of a lost source in the distant tribes of Africa, of a skin of the color of minorities, and who, from near poverty, conquered the laureate of the center of excellence of the elites, Harvard University, and having in his hands the greatest power and the greatest economy of the Planet, he withdraws from the stage as simple as he has come, showing the world, without having to say, that it is not true that power degrades, that wealth corrupts.

And so he left the stage with the same peacefulness in the look, holding hands with his female companion of each step in this path, Michele, with the same peacefulness, to show that the wealth can dispense luxury, it doesn’t need ostentation, but it realizes it in Love.

And so he left the stage, but it’s necessary that his voice keep resounding in the world, despite the threat of the  of the barbarity of who succeed him, that in a moment of misunderstanding, the American people put on the stage occupied by so much dignity. The threat of barbarism, to such an extent taken that we are forced to cheer so that everything he said – the “Threat” – preached and sowed, be it a farce, or just a lie. I know that it is repugnant to have to choose to root for barbarism or for the lie.

No, what led the word to this painful dilemma doesn’t deserve to have its name quoted next to the name of Barack Obama.

But before I must add when listening to  the Threatening Man speaks to the generals and spies of CIA in his first, and for that the most important public act of his govern, I must add, friends that I did not imagine have to listen, in my eighties, the Hitler’s same harangue by promising the Germans the Third Reich – the 1000-year-old Empire, or seeing Benito Mussolini from the balcony of the Quirinal Palace promise the Italians to revive the glory of the Roman Empire.

I wouldn’t imagine have to see and listen. But I did both, my friends, the same promises done to the American Nation and the same threats to the world, being proclaimed in front of spies and generals of CIA and of the awesomeness of the American citizens and the citizens of the civilized world.

But if he, the Threatening Man persists, if he puts his threats into practice, he will, doubtless, be in the same way as his predecessors and his promised thousand-year empires.

That we have confidence, dear friends, the world also is not orphan, although the same seed of the return to the barbarism, threaten to grow in other parts of the world, among them in France and its history of human rights, England of courage and liberty and German in greatness as it knew how to expiate its past, to embrace the persecuted of intolerance, misery and fanaticism that destroyed them and expelled them from their homes.

Mas contra essa ameaça, permanece, de um lado, a semente plantada por Barack Obama,que há de crescer e ,cultivada, dar frutos para o mundo;

But against this threat, it remains, on one side, the seed planted by Barack Obama that will grow and be cultivated, bear fruits to the world.

And the other side, without weapons, without power and without the wealth of the world, the seed is to grow and to bear fruit, the voice, the word and the message of Papa Francis, the same seed planted by Barack Obama, preaching the return to Love, Fraternity, Peace and Mercy, among peoples and between people, because God didn’t make humanity suicidal, or abandoned in the middle of the path.

Although mistakes and misconceptions that may have been committed. In spite of them, there will always be the return, that we have confidence.

However it’s needed my friends to open your eyes and ears to listen the Message, stretch out hands to cultivate the seed and have the heart open to Love.
