Não estamos entrando bem nesse começo do Século 21.
Estamos entrando ameaçados pelo retrocesso, também, ou principalmente, por falta de alternativas, ou de propostas alternativas que possam ser adotadas em todos os setores da organização social e adotadas com a mesma urgência e velocidade com que os avanços tecnológicos transformam,estão transformando e continuarão a transformar a sociedade.Essa urgência decorre da evidente incapacidade das ideologias,ou dos modelos tradicionais de organização social, de responder à complexidade a que chegou o mundo,quero dizer,a que chegou a sociedade,ou a civilização.
through threats to civilization, there are ways of hope
We’re not entering this 21st century well. We’re entering threaten by the throwback, also, or mainly, by lack of options, or by alternative proposals that can be adopted in all sectors of social organization and adopted with the same urgency and speed with that the technological advances transform, are transforming and will keep to transform the society. This urgency arise from the evident incapacity of ideologies, or from the traditional models of social organization, to respond to the complexity that came to the world, I mean, that one that came to society, or to civilization.
Direi que é este descompasso, ou essa disritmia como me refiro em meu Livro “Participação e Solidariedade”,que está por traz de todas as crises que nos afetam,no Brasil e no mundo.Enquanto não se adotarem reformas na mesma profundidade das transformações trazidas pela tecnologia ,as crises retornarão sempre,e retornarão cada vez com maior gravidade,não tenhamos dúvida,meus amigos.
I’ll say that this is the mismatch, or this dysrhythmia as I refer in my book “Participation and Solidarity”, which is behind of all the crisis that affect us, in Brazil and in the world. As long as reforms are not adopted at the same depth as the transformations brought by technology, crises will always return, and will return more and more seriously, let us not doubt, my friends.
No mundo da internet e sua redes, da globalização e a inter complementaridade que ela produz, da energia nuclear e suas aplicações para o bem e para o mal,dos processos contínuos de inovação e da velocidade com que estão acontecendo, os que governam, ou que tem alguma forma de poder sobre a terra, ou,ainda, procuram formular estratégias de solução,inclusive os intelectuais que dominam os mercados, as universidades,os que as dirigem ou as integram,infelizmente todos,ou a maioria,continuam imaginando,(nos condicionam,e nós nos submetemos a seu condicionamentos,) poder organizar o mundo,ou nele sobreviver,transportados nas velhas carroças do século XIX,ou, para as elites, pelas antigas caleças puxadas a cavalos brancos.
In the internet world and its networks, in globalization and the inter-complementarity that it produces, nuclear energy and its applications for good and evil, of the continuous processes of innovation and the speed with which they are happening, those who govern, or who have some form of power over the earth, or, even the intellectuals who dominate the markets, the universities, those who direct them or integrate them, unfortunately all, or most of them, continue to imagine (they condition us and we submit to their conditioning) can organize the world, or in it they can survive, transported in the old carts of the nineteenth century, or, for the elites, by the old wagons pulled by white horses.
Não esqueçamos, meus amigos,minhas amigas,que foi nessa época dos cavalos, puxando CARROÇAS E CALEÇAS, que se originaram os sistemas capitalistas, liberais ou de outras camuflagens,ou socialistas em suas várias expressões,desde o antigo comunismo ,ou seus remendos, como foi feito em Cuba,ou está sendo feito na China,ou em outros remendos democratizantes que lhe foram pespegados.
We should not forget, my dear friends that it was in that horses time, pulling CARTS AND CARRIAGES, that originated themselves the capitalist systhems, liberal or of others camouflages, or socialists in it several expressions, since the antique communism, or its patches as it was done in Cuba, or it’s being done in China, or in other democratizing patches that have been deceived from it.
São resquícios, ainda dessas velhas carroças que continuam organizando a sociedade, as ilusões que continuam dividindo a sociedade em direita e esquerda,as universidades e muitos de seus provectos professores que dão carona, em sua visão equivocada às novas gerações,ainda boa parte da Igreja onde há os que se auto consideram,ou são considerados, progressistas e conservadores, e estou citando apenas os exemplos mais significativos de instituições,mas podia acrescentar,Também tantos intelectuais,artistas,políticos,enfim…os que de alguma forma continuam sendo atores da governança mundial,ou da civilização.
They’re remmants, still from these old carts that continue to organize society, the illusions that continue to divide society in right or left, the universities and many of their experienced teachers that give a ride, in their mistaken vision to the new generations even in a good part of the Church where there are those who consider themselves or are considered progressive and conservative, and I only citing the most significant examples of institutions, but I could add, so many intellectuals, artists, politicians, and so on … those who somehow continue to be actors in world governance, or civilization.
Não percebem que essas facções em constantes conflito, as esquerdas e direitas, são ideologias, ou concepções que conflitam inutilmente em relação a solução das crises,porque ambas as facções,da direita e da esquerda, sobrevivem do passado, voltadas para o passado,lembrando a antiga dança do Cha-Cha- cha,onde os dançarinos davam um passinho á direita,um passinho à esquerda,um passinho para traz, dois passinhos à frente… (era assim?
Don’t realize that these factions in constant conflicts, the left and the right ones, are ideologies, or conceptions that conflict uselessly in relation to the solution of the crisis, because both factions, of the right and of the left, survived from the past, turned to the past, remembering that old Cha-Cha-cha dance, where the dancers gave a step to the right, a little step to the left, a little step behind, two little steps forward… (was it that way?
Não percebem que, na dança do cha-cha-cha…depois dos passos à esquerda e à direita ou do passinho pra traz,para que a dança continuasse era necessário dar dois passinhos à frente.Não percebem os construtores do mundo ,ou seus ideólogos,que leva a lugar nenhum ficar dançando da esquerda para a direita e vice-versa,ou indefinidamente dando passinhos para traz.É necessário começar a dar passos para frente,e passos largos e velozes,porque o mundo caminha,e caminha velozmente para frente.
Don’t realize that in the cha-cha-cha dance…after the steps of the left and of the right, or in the little step behind so that the dance continued it was necessary give two steps forward. Faço essas observações face ao crescimento que vem sendo verificado, ultimamente, das forças conservadores,como aconteceu nos Estados Unidos,com a eleição de Donald Trump, na Inglaterra, pela vitória no plebiscito em favor de sua saída da União Européia, está ameaçada a França de seguir o mesmo caminho,caso venha a ser candidata e chegue à Presidência a herdeira da extrema direita, Madame Le Pin, enquanto o Papa Francisco,sofre a oposição jacobina ,ou fundamentalista, à seu pontificado, da parte de três ou 4 cardeais que imaginam liderar parcela significativa de fiéis conservadores da Igreja.
I make these observations in face of the growth that have been verified, lately, of the conservative forces as happened in the United States, with the election of Donald Trump, in England, by the victory in the plebiscite in favor of the exit of England of the European Union, France is threatened to follow the same path if the right-wing heiress, Madame Le Pin, become a candidate and come to the presidency, while Pope Francis suffers the Jacobin or fundamentalist opposition to his pontificate from the Three or four cardinals who imagine leading a significant portion of the Church’s conservative faithful.
Cito esses casos porque emblemáticos para nos levar a uma reflexão sobre as ameaças a que está exposta a civilização,de ampliar o gap,o espaço,ou o abismo que separa a organização social em todos os seus aspectos,os aspectos econômicos,políticos,éticos e culturais,a garantia de um mínimo de igualdade entre os homens,a diversidades de culturas,portanto a universalização dos direitos humanos, a preservação ambiental, o respeito ao pluralismo,à privacidade ou aos direitos individuais,enfim,os fundamentos que a civilização levou milhares de anos,centenas de séculos, para construir.
I cite these cases, because emblematic to take us to a reflection about the threats that the civilization are exposed, of amplify the gap, or the space, or the abism that separate the social organization in all of it aspects, economics, politics, ethical and cultural aspects, the guarantee of a minimum of equality between men, the diversity of cultures, therefore the universalization of human rights, the environmental preservation, respect for pluralism, privacy or individual rights, in short, the foundations that civilization took thousands of years, hundreds of centuries, to build.
Nos Estados Unidos a eleição do ultra conservadorismo ameaça a semente plantada por Barack Obama, na busca de promover a paz em vez da guerra,portanto da convivência pacífica,da pluralidade de raças,crenças eliminando outros fatores que separam as pessoas, as culturas,os povos e as Nações.Apenas sementes,mas as grandes mudanças,como as grandes árvores, não nascem prontas, mas precisam de semeadores para o início dos processos, de cultivadores para que cresçam,para que não sejam pisoteadas pela prepotência dos predadores,antes mesmo que frutifiquem.Lógico,creio também que faltou,nesse plantio,como em outras partes do mundo,propostas que ultrapassem as carroças e caleças herdadas dos passado,para sintonizar a organização social com os avanços da ciência e da tecnologia.
In the United States the election of the ultra-conservative threats the seed planted by Barack Obama, in the search of promoting Peace instead of war, therefore of the peaceful coexistence, of the plurality of races, beliefs eliminating other factors that separate people, cultures and nations. Only seeds, but great changes, like the great trees, are not born ready, but need sowers for the beginning of the processes, of growers, so that they will not be trampled by the prepotency of predators, even before they are fruitful. Logically, I also believe that in this plantation, as in other parts of the world, there have been a lack of proposals that go beyond the wagons and carriages inherited from the past, to tune social organization with advances in science and technology.
Referi-me, como outra ameaça ao processo civilizatório, a vitória do plebiscito que decidiu pela quebra dos compromissos da Inglaterra com a União Européia, um modelo longamente construído de união e cooperação do grupo de Países que,apenas no século passado ,se degladiaram em duas guerras mundiais,fruto da competição,dos interesses descompromissados e dos nacionalismos extremos,que se imaginava ultrapassados e que ameaçam retornar.
I refer, as other threaten to the civilization process, the victory of the plebiscite that decided by the breakdown of England’s commitments to the European Union, a long-drawn-out model of union and cooperation of the group of countries which, only in the last century, have confronted in two world wars as a result of competition, uncompromising interests and extreme nationalism. That was imagined themselves outdated and that are threatening to return.
Tanto mais grave essa ameaça, diante da hipótese,ainda pouco provável,que o mesmo venha acontecer com a França,segundo promete a representante da extrema direita francesa,Madame Le Pin ,que vem angariando significativos apoios à sua candidatura presidencial,logo na França, que foi o berço da igualdade,da fraternidade e da liberdade.
As the threat gets serious in front of hypothesis, still not likely, that the same comes to happen with France, according to promises of the represent of the extreme right, a French woman, Madame Le Pin, who has been making significant contributions to her presidential candidacy, in France, which was the cradle of equality, fraternity and freedom.
Poderia me referir ,ainda,ao crescimento da extrema direita na Alemanha,que ameaça sobretudo a política de acolhimento aos imigrantes,praticada pela primeira Ministra Ângela Merkel que,afinal,mesmo não podendo ser classificada entre os líderes voltados para o futuro,tem se oposto a que seu país,e de um modo geral os países da União Europeia, se voltem a repetir os horrores do passado,ou para os egoísmos isolacionistas,alheando-se dos problemas do mundo.
I could refer even to the growth of the extreme right in Germany, that threatens above all the policy on the reception of immigrants, practiced by the first Minister Ângela Merkel which, even though it can not be classified as a future-oriented leader, has opposed the fact that its country, and in general the countries of the European Union, are repeating the horrors of the past or the selfishness of isolationists , distancing oneself from the problems of the world.
Neste contexto, vale lembrar também a ameaça a esse processo de acolhimento de milhões de imigrantes que fogem de seus países para fugir às guerras de todas as origens, da miséria e da fome,grande parte herança dos séculos de domínio colonial dos mesmos países europeus.Se essas ameaça prevalecer,estaremos regredindo dos avanços conquistados,e a legião de excluídos estará condenados a retornar e viver em seus países de onde fugiram,ou morrer nas águas do Mediterrâneo,ou em outras águas,como os escravos há séculos anteriores,transportados nos navios negreiros.
In this context, it’s worth to remember too that the threat to this reception process of millions of immigrants that run away from their countries to escape from the wars of all origins, of misery and of hunger, a big part of the heritage of the centuries of colonial domination of the same European countries. If these threats prevail, we will be regressing on the gains made, and the legion of the excluded will be condemned to return and live in their countries from which they escape, or die in the waters of the Mediterranean, or in other waters, like the slaves of previous centuries, carried on the slave ships
Tenho me referido até aqui a ameaça de retorno das ideologias da direita que ameaçam a civilização com o retorno ao passado. Pode parecer estranho que não me tenha referido às ideologias de esquerda.
I’ve been referring until here to the threat of the return of the right ideologies that threaten the civilization as a return of the past. It could seem strange that I don’t refer to the left ideologies.
Na verdade não analiso aqui as ideologias da esquerda,da extrema esquerda dos partidos e das ideologias únicas,dos monopólios absolutos do Estado como os regimes comunistas, pois o retorno aos regimes comunistas não tem ocorrido em nenhum dos países que passaram pela dolorosa experiência desses regimes,sem que tenham obtido os avanços prometidos e deles se libertaram.Creio que não é isto que ameaça a civilização.
Indeed I don’t analyze here the left ideologies, of the extreme left of the parties and unique ideologies, of absolute state monopolies of the State as communist regimes, because the return of the communist regimes has not occurred in any of the countries that have experienced the painful experience of these regimes without having obtained the promised advances and they were freed themselves. I believe that this is not what threatens the civilization
Termino essas considerações referindo-me ao Papa Francisco, liderança que ultrapassa em muito sua Missão de Chefe da maior Igreja do Ocidente, para se tornar um líder mundial, defensor respeitado por todos aqueles que acreditam na evolução da espécie humana, da sociedade, ou da civilização,e os valores que a dignificam,dignificando o homem.
I finish these considerations referring to the Pope Francis, leadership that goes far beyond his mission as Chief of the Greater Church of the West, to become a world leader, a respected defender for all those who believe in the evolution of the human species, society, or civilization, and the values that dignify it, dignifying man.
Refiro-me à contínua ameaça de alguns cardeais, são 3 ou 4,que pretendem se auto revestir de únicos guardiães da doutrina,ameaçando cismas dentro da Igreja,pela oposição que fazem aos esforços inovadores do Papa Francisco,no sentido de sintonizar as pastorais,ou seja,a presença concreta da Igreja na sociedade ,com os avanços da ciência e da tecnologia,como forma de humanizar a ciência e a tecnologia e seus avanços aos valores da dignidade humana,e dessa forma, levar as sociedades a viver a idade da tecnologia,sem ter que renunciar a esses valores. Não tenho dúvidas de que,a prevalência dessas ameaças de retorno ao passado,seria mais um passo a atrás no caminho da evolução humana,na trilha do Alfa inicial,a criação,na busca do ômega final,seu retorno ao Criador,para utilizar a linguagem de Teilhard de Chardin, que inspira nossas propostas de Participação e Solidariedade.
I refer to the continuous threat of some cardinals, they’re three or four, that pretend to cover themselves as sole guardians of doctrine, threatening schisms inside of the Church for the opposition they make to the innovative efforts of Pope Francis in the sense of attuning the pastoral, i.e., , the concrete presence of the Church in society, with the advances of science and technology, as a way of humanizing science and technology and its advances to the values of human dignity, and thus, to lead societies to live the age of technology, without having to give up those values. I have no doubt that the prevalence of these threats of return to the past would be one more step back in the path of human evolution, in the trail of the initial Alpha, the creation, in pursuit of the final omega, its return to the Creator, to use the Language of Teilhard de Chardin, which inspires our proposals for Participation and Solidarity
